· Concert with Geoff Lakeman and Rob Murch in St Petroc’s Church, South Brent. The ‘Concertina Crooner’ and the ‘Titan of Twang’ team up in a dynamic new folk/acoustic duo. Geoff Lakeman is a folk singer, duet concertina player, patriarch of a folk dynasty (as father of Seth, Sean and Sam Lakeman, and father-in-law of Cara Dillon and Kathryn Roberts) and journalist. He recorded his debut CD, ‘After All These Years’ at the age of 69. Rob Murch brings the wow factor with his unique, punchy, fingerstyle banjo, playing and his percussive finger-ballet up and down the fret-board of his 100 year-old instrument is mesmerising. He is a long-time member of the Dartmoor Pixie Band. Both live on Dartmoor, so it was inevitable they’d gang-up musically. Expect self-written and West Country songs, rattling folk tunes and foot-stomping ragtime and cakewalk riffs. See: https://www.geofflakeman.co.uk/. Support from Wild Goose choir led by Freya Harbottle.
