- Life Drawing, Portraiture and Medieval paint techniques classes with Isabel Coulton; see: https://isabelcoulton.com/ and www.arthousesouthbrent.com/our-tutors-and-classes-1/isabel-coulton-sculpture-and-life-drawing
- “Medieval Paint techniques involves grinding up pigments and mixing them with a mordent or glue. Firstly, we will work out a design, then prepare a wooden panel with gesso which we will make by hand. It is a wonderful substance and can have many applications in art. We make our own paint and see how it was used historically. There will be the possibility of gilding - using gold, copper or silver leaf to enhance your design with an extra cost. It is possible to be extremely conventional and figurative in your design, but there is also a great scope for experimentation and abstraction using these techniques. You choose”
