South Brent Parish Council comprises councillors: Alastair Childs (Chairman); Sue Astal-Stain; David Butcher; Richard Fone; Stephen Hanney; Katherine Johnston; Guy Pannell; Cathie Pannell; Rachel Rafiqi (coopted November 2024); Glyn Richards; David Hancock (Brentmoor Ward). Sophie Jones has taken over the role of the Parish Clerk assisted by Lucy Bruckner. Our South Hams District Councillors are Guy Pannell and David Hancock - Guy Pannell is also Chair of SHDC; our Devon County Councillor is Dan Thomas, (District and County Councillors also attend Parish Council meetings). Full Parish Council meetings are usually on the third Monday of the month in the Village Hall. Council meetings for the remainder of 2025 will be held on: 17 November; 15 December). Meetings are open to the public and details of meetings including agenda and minutes are on the website.

There is currently a vacancy for a Parish Councillor which the Parish Council will take steps to fill the vacancy by co-option.
