South Brent & District Caring offers help where we can - advice, support, befriending calls and transport for medical appointments (including vaccination appointments).
South Brent & District Caring celebrated its 10th anniversary last year and was awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) for 2022. This is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.
The Office is in the Old School Community Centre is open - 10am -12 on Tuesday to Friday,
All groups and activities are up and running, but if plans need to change, there will be posts on the Facebook pages and posters outside The Old School Community Centre:
Ø Coffee mornings now held weekly on Mondays (not bank holidays), from 10.30 until 12 noon. Open to everyone (no need to book) Free (suggested donation £1.50).
Ø ‘FriendsDay Wednesday’ afternoon groups (incorporating the former Memory Cafe) from 2-4pm. All welcome – no need to book.
Compassionate Friends Café – Monthly on the third and fourth Saturday (see above)
Ø Footcare Clinic: - with NHS trained nail cutters, every 6 weeks

. Costs: £12.50 on first visit (to include own new clippers); £6.50 for toe-nail cutting; £2.50 for finger-nail cutting
