Wild Goose Choir: Is a mixed-voice, folk-based community choir, formed in June 2023 and led by Freya Harbottle (one half of folk duo Harbottle & Jonas). We learn material from across the folk canon, from the very traditional to the contemporary. Wild Goose Choir is now a musical home to 40 members, who each bring a warmth, energy and individuality to sessions and songs. The choir rehearses weekly in on Tuesdays from 7-9pm during term time in the Village Hall. We seek to perform at least twice a year, to share the songs and arrangements that we learn.
Performances: Wild Goose Choir will be singing:
- Saturday 1 November: in a shared concert with Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir in St Petroc’s (see above).
- Saturday 22nd November in The Civic Hall, Totnes - for the South Devon Book Festival at 1-1.45pm (see above)
- Saturday 29 November: at the South Brent Christmas Lights Switch On at 5.30-6.30pm (see above).
