University of the Third Age (u3a): Ivybridge u3a is all systems go with a full summer programme of speakers for its monthly general meetings lined up, following the enforced 18-month Covid lockdown. Meetings are held at The Watermark in Ivybridge from 2-4pm (usually) on the third Monday of each month and are free to members. New and potential members welcome.
· Monday 19 September 2022: Roger Brown takes everyone back to the time of mellow music with his ‘History of Jazz Piano’
· Monday 17 October 2022: John Lassan will be taking a close look at the issue of coin, with his knowledgeable tour through ‘English Coins and Variations’.

Ivybridge u3a could be just what you are looking for! u3a provides an opportunity to make new friends and join a wide range of interest groups that combine education, creativity and leisure in a fun and friendly environment. In addition to the monthly meetings, u3a members also have access to nearly 40 specialist groups. These range from Egyptology to Etymology, Country Dancing to Creative Writing, Dartmoor Industrial Archaeology to Card Games, and Language classes to Wine Appreciation and the u3a Ukulele Group.
