Black Voices Concert at 7.30pm in the Great Hall at Dartington Trust, Totnes.

After a long year of no public-facing concerts, Black Voices marks the return to presenting live music at Dartington.

A mix of genres and styles, woven with stories of life through a journey of love, hope, social justice and truth, Black Voices deliver spirituals, blues, jazz, pop, gospel, reggae, folk and contemporary fusions.

Black Voices’ work is steeped in the rich legacy of the black oral tradition, centred in early African ‘call and response’, poly-rhythms and slave folksongs – the bedrock of African American sacred music.
