The English South West Region European constituency (including the Isles of Scilly and Gibraltar) elects 6 MEPs by proportional representation (D'Hondt method). Parties nominate candidates in rank order up to the number of seats (i.e. 6).
You have one vote which you can cast for the party, or independent candidate, you wish to vote for.
There are 47 candidates standing for the South West region from 8 parties:
Change UK (6); Conservative and Unionist (6); English Democrats (2); Green Party (6); Labour Party (6); Liberal Democrats (6); Brexit Party (6); UK Independence Party (UKIP) (6); plus 3 independents (2 of whom are from the new ‘Climate and Ecological Emergency Independent’ group).
