Author Talk: Tony Rea at 7.30pm in the Old School Community Centre Local author and historian Dr Tony Rea will talk about his 2016 book, 'South Devon in the Great War' and his new novel, 'Red Sky over Dartmoor', which is set in the South Brent area and offers a unique perspective of the First World War.

'Red Sky' is one of few books set during WWI not to dwell on the horrors of war.

The action takes place in a triangle between Cornwood, Diptford and South Brent, as well as on Dartmoor; mostly in actual places which will be familiar to residents. "It’s a fast-moving historical adventure which pitches itself against a back-cloth of dastardly deeds committed in France during 1918” explains Tony of his book.
