·                'Defibrillator Breakfast Café' from 9.30am - 12.00 in the Old School Community Centre. As you may have heard South Brent has been successful in its application to the British Heart Foundation for funding of three Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) which are being installed in publicly accessible places: one in the village centre outside the pharmacy, one in the south of the parish at the Old Police Station (now 'Moortek') and one near Shipley Bridge. In addition to the usual good breakfast, company and live music from 'Half the Hothouse Band', you can also learn about saving lives, with practical demonstrations of how the new defibrillators work and how you can be trained to use them in an emergency. The defibrillators will be accredited by the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASfT) and the project is supported by the Parish Council and SSB.
