·                Breakfast Café for Sierra Leone. A small group of four from South Brent and nearby are going with Mission Direct to Sierra Leone.  Mission Direct works on practical projects supporting people in some of the poorest regions of the world to make an impact on the lives of individuals and communities.  The volunteers pay for their own travel and accommodation but raise money in advance to go towards the project they will be working on. The group will start off in Freetown working either on completing a hospital’s pharmacy, physiotherapy room, morgue and additional rooms, or a Classroom for nursery children. In the second week they will move to Bureh Beach and work on completing a Beach Clinic for a group of Italian medics who have undertaken to provide professional and medical support to the beach community.  The money they raise to take out will go towards paying for these two buildings including buy materials to for them to make bricks themselves!
