Kali Theatre presents 'My Big Fat Cowpat Wedding' in South Brent Village Hall at 7.30pm.

A celebration of a mixed marriage between a girl from the country and a boy from the city. What could possibly go wrong? -

Plenty does in this comedy drama which explores all the prejudices and mis-assumptions that this occasion could throw up.

Writer Sayan Kent drew on interviews with people with experiences of mixed marriages and weddings to create a light hearted exploration of relationships across the divides of rural/ urban, race and gender.

The result is fast and funny with plenty of neat twists and a Bhangra disco dance for the audience to join in with at the end! It's a site specific show with venue laid out for a wedding reception.

The show takes place in and amongst the audience who are the wedding guests - you are encouraged to dress for the occasion (smart casual; hats welcome; wellington boots optional!).

You will be invited to bring a small wedding gift (which will be raffled later) and enjoy a drink and nibbles.
