“Experiencing Egypt - Three Years in Cairo”. Janet Diamond will look at the many rich and varied historical and cultural influences over the centuries, and the political disruptions that Egypt recently experienced, events that take in some Egyptology, an unusual visit to the Valley of the Kings; some lesser-known, but very important pyramids - and experiencing the assassination of the then president of Egypt.
Containing numerous personal photos from her time there, including street scenes of life in Cairo, this talk is a visual record of three years in Egypt in the early 1980's.
