Acoustic Haven is into its 8th season of top-quality, live-music nights on the last Friday of each winter month in St Johns Church, Totnes. It is run entirely by volunteers to raise funds for The Hillyfield and 'The Living Project' in Dartington. Arrive early to enjoy the Cafe space serving home-made cakes, organic soup, fresh chai tea and locally brewed ales. With projected artwork by Mike Boyer. Acoustic Haven is run in partnership with dBs Music college in Plymouth, offering training opportunities to students in the FdA Live Sound foundation degree course (see http://dbsmusic.co.uk/).
Friday 29 January 2016: Daniel Marcus Clark, award-winning writer, storyteller & composer originally from Brighton, England but now based in Devon who specialises in combining spoken stories with music and sound. He is the creator and founding artist of Earfilms-a technique for sharing stories that uses a mixture of spoken word, 3D sound design and musical soundtracks to create multi-layered immersive pieces.
