Tuesdays 12 January to 9 February 2016: Weekly Felt Making Course from 10am until 12.30pm.at the Old School Centre, South Brent. Create unique textiles from wool and silk fibres and silk fabric using the wet felt-making technique - 'Slow magic in action'. A series of workshops designed to lead you on a path of fibre magic - each week a new technique will be demonstrated.

 Course Outline:

 Week 1: Felt Flower Corsage: blending fibres and colours; 3D sculpture

 Week 2: Felt Collage: silk paper, and designing with pre-felts

 Week 3: Felt Collage: finishing your piece, perhaps a mat or a tuffet

 Week 4: Fine Felt: Cobweb, grids and nuno for scarves and shawls

 Week 5: Nuno felt in depth. Finishing and/or considering templace design

 Gorgeous fibres will be available at cost. Expect to spend about £5-£10, depending on what you make. Cost: £45 for 5 sessions, or drop-in £10 per session.

Booking is essential; the group will be for a maximum of 7 spaces to ensure plenty of space and attention.
