South Brent Steepers' is a lively group of volunteers who are in their fourth year of hedge laying and collecting woodfuel. New members, young and old, beginners as well as those with previous experience are invited to join them for fresh air, exercise, new skills, informal cooperation, input from a hedge-laying expert and a share of the wood with occasional hot soup. They provide tools, other necessary equipment and plan to bring in a wood-processing machine to cut the logs and store them under cover, probably until the winter of 2015/16. Steeping dates this year include: 6 December (10-3) & 20 December (10 - 1, then at the pub) at Underhill, South Brent. In 2016 we start on Sunday 10 January (venue tbc) and every fortnight thence.
